Well as usual over the holidays, I ate too much, watched too much football and didn't get enough exercise. Now I need to get back in the saddle, but my butt won't fit. Guess I need to walk around a little first.
The Blues Messengers came on down to the ZOO on Thanksgiving to keep us awake after all that turkey. Perfect antidote to tryptophan, and apparently there were some people who wanted to dance off a few calories.

Well, I'd say bringing country music from the East Coast to Lincoln is a bit like carrying coals to Newcastle ... whatever the hell that means. It was certainly worth the effort though. We all had a great time listening and dancing.

Slim and the Workers were workin' hard at the ZOO on Wednesday night. We all appreciated some great music to get us over the hump. If you got careless and missed out, you can get yours at:

I do wish they'd left all that cold up in Canada!

Yep, the boys were back in Lincoln for two great nights of Blues and Soul. I'm assuming they drove a Chevy, but I didn't see the car, and they're still singing that song, "I Need Me a Car." Don't get me wrong, because I ain't complaining. I love that song.

They got all kinds of fun stuff like CDs and shirts.

Well, the bad news is that the boys let us know that they're going to be taking a break after the first of the year, but that's a long time off, and we had a really great time at this FAC. AND, you can still get the CDs from the websites.
