Donnie Had a Birthday

A large number of people in the Lincoln area went out Friday and Saturday last week to help Donnie celebrate his birthday. Ordinarily Donnie don't need no help to celebrate, but he seemed to appreciate the attention. Several large seismic events were observed in the vicinity of Barrymore's and at the ZOO Bar. No one is sure exactly when the festivities ended. They're probably still going on somewhere. ---gk

ZOOfotos - Tijuana Gigolos - Last FAC

People were crying all over Lincoln at the news that the Gigolos were going on hiatus. Several hundred of them came down to the ZOO on Friday to commiserate with each other at the last FAC. Seriously the bar was packed, and everyone seemed to be having a seriously good time. I wish the boys could go on forever, but everything has to end sometime, so thanks for the memories!

Well, I've been fighting a cold for the past couple of days, and mostly it's been winning. I think I'm getting the edge though. I only coughed about a million times instead of a billion, and the snot is down to drips instead of gallons. I'm staying home to keep from spreading it around.

Thanksgiving

Well as usual over the holidays, I ate too much, watched too much football and didn't get enough exercise. Now I need to get back in the saddle, but my butt won't fit. Guess I need to walk around a little first.

First Snow

We got some snow today, so I guess winter is officially here for a couple of days at least. It's supposed to get above freezing, so it probably won't last too long though, and that's fine with me. I like a little snow just for variety, but I'm not that big a fan of having it pile up too much. ---gk

Well, I'd say bringing country music from the East Coast to Lincoln is a bit like  carrying coals to Newcastle ... whatever the hell that means. It was certainly worth the effort though. We all had a great time listening and dancing.
