Mezcal Brothers and the Academy of Rock

The Mezcal Brothers were back at the ZOO following an afternoon set devoted to developing Lincoln's young musical talent. As usual they put on a great show and got the animals at the ZOO up and dancing. The kids in the Academy of Rock still have a little ways to go to catch up, but the Mezcals better watch out behind. Some of those kids are getting dangerous.

Debbie Davies

Debbie and her band stopped by the ZOO for a little "Afternoon Delight." She played some songs from her new album, Blues Blast, and that's what we had goin' on. She even got her old buddy Magic Slim up to play a couple of tunes together. I think Slim's gonna stay in Lincoln, but you should definitely get out and see this band anyway.

Lordy, that lady sure can sing. They tell me that her name is Emily, but it should be Enthusiasm. She's sure got enough of that. The rest of the band is just as solid. Don't miss 'em. They'll be back at the ZOO in a couple of weeks, and you better be there.

The Fabulous Bel Airs

The Bel Airs were back up to Lincoln from down in Columbia, Missouri. As Dick says, "You're hip when you tip!" So, here's a tip for all you music fans out there. Don't miss this band. They play some of the best live blues you're ever gonna hear.
